About us

Mission Statement

The Nano group focuses on engineering and fabrication from the micro-scale down to the nanometre scale to produce a wide range of novel devices,  materials and integrated systems. This includes the creation and characterisation of nano-electronic devices and systems such as quantum, spintronic and memristive devices. It also engages in interdisciplinary research in the life-sciences, for example the study of bio-inspired devices, which borrows evolutionary solutions from the natural world and applies them in the design and creation of technologies.

Visiting Us

Southampton is located in the beautiful county of Hampshire on the south coast of England. Whenever you visit, you'll find us a friendly, welcoming campus university, an integral part of the city we're proud to call home. The Nano Research Group is located within the Highfield campus.
